Though Advanced Flooring Technologies officially opened its doors in 2024, our
foundation was laid over 20+ years ago, through the hard-won experience of our owners
in the industrial and commercial flooring industry. We didn’t start as beginners; we
began as seasoned experts with a mission to redefine quality in high-performance
flooring. We didn’t just adapt to the industry’s demands; we helped define them. From
the start, our mission was clear; to provide floors as tough as the businesses that rely
on them, using the most advanced systems available.

From day one, we’ve specialized in epoxy coatings, urethane cement, polish

Nestor Mendoza's career began as a teenager, working alongside his father in the granite business. There, he learned the craft from the ground up, cutting, polishing, and installing stone with meticulous precision. It was here that he developed an uncompromising eye for detail and a deep respect for quality craftsmanship.

Driven by a vision to bring the beauty of granite beyond countertops, Nestor transitioned into the flooring industry with a singular goal: to replicate the elegance and durability of stone underfoot. His passion for innovation and design let him to pioneer techniques that seamlessly integrated natural stones aesthetics into flooring solutions, further expanding his craftsmanship into new dimensions.

Flooring Product Innovation

Looking to deepen his understanding of the craft, Nestor stepped into flooring product manufacturing. It was there he gained hands-on knowledge of material chemistry and application science—learning not just how floors work, but why they fail. Working alongside some of the industry's most experienced minds, he turned technical insight into real-world precision. That journey, from granite shops to resin chemistry labs to job sites across the region, is what Advanced Flooring Technologies is built on today.
